Duration
The course duration is 10–12 working days of classroom‑based activity (online/physical), followed by 3–6 weeks of self‑preparation, examination, and report submission.

How Is It Assessed?
The NEBOSH GIC qualification combines activities, learning, and interactive materials to provide an engaging experience. It focuses on key skills so you can immediately apply the knowledge you gain and add value to your organization. Assessment is a two‑step process:
GIC1:
An open‑book examination to assess what you know – scenario‑based, including a closing interview where you will be asked questions about your submission.
GIC2:
A practical risk assessment (3 hours) to assess what you can do. Learners complete a risk assessment and develop an action plan for their workplace, which is immediately useful and valuable.
Assessments are marked by external examiners appointed by NEBOSH. These examiners are chosen for their experience and expertise to ensure learners are assessed by the very best in the industry.
